Being helped by chiropractic care as a young man inspired me to pursue a career in Chiropractic Medicine. After seven years of training and over eight years in private practice in Minnesota, I accepted the invitation from my friend and colleague, Dr. Troy Amdahl,  to expand Chiropractic to the Middle East.

Dr. Troy practiced in Rochester, a top international health care destination and he had the opportunity to treat a number of patients from the Emirates. The patients were pleased to discover a form of health care that could help eliminate their pain without the use of drugs or the need for surgery.

We shared the professional expertise and vision to establish the specialty of Chiropractic Medicine in the United Arab Emirates.  Many symptoms common to the people of the Middle East (neck pain, headaches, arm symptoms, back pain, muscle spasms, leg symptoms, and disc problems) were previously only given three options: drugs, surgery, or instructions to 'live with it.'  In 2001, Chiropractic Specialty Center was officially recognized and licensed as the first Chiropractic Center in the Emirates by the Federal Ministry of Health.  Because of my many positive experiences and the impact we were making, I remained in the Emirates for 4 years with my family.  After repatriated back to the USA, I continue to return to the Emirates several times per year to spread the Chiropractic message, to assist our Center's staff and Drs, and to promote healthy lifestyles, including the use of Essential Oils.

'I feel an important part of being a good doctor is to teach patients certain self-help techniques that will speed their recovery process. We welcome the opportunity to teach office and industrial workers, kids, and people of all walks of life the importance of health and fitness and the prevention of injuries through community lectures. Increased knowledge leads to greater understanding and less apprehension when it comes to discovering chiropractic.  Continued communication and education amongst health professionals leading to increased cooperation. As the different branches of health care learn more about one another, patients will reap the benefit.'

'I have always had a passion for nutrition, fitness, and wellness. Growing up I knew I wanted to be a Doctor but was undecided about the specific field of study. What I did know that invasive approaches, like medication and surgery should not be the only choices we had. I wanted something else, something that addressed problems at a deeper level. It was then that I learned that this is what Doctors of Chiropractic are all about. Their holistic approach to health care put an end to my search. With a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, from the University of Western Ontario, I was off to Chiropractic University - National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois. There I received my Doctorate in Chiropractic and Bachelors degree in Human Biology. I then pursued my love for nutrition and earned a certification as a Clinical Nutritionist. After graduating, I practiced in Chicago in a multi-disciplinary clinic and worked with a team of medical doctors, chiropractic doctors, and physical therapists with a common goal; overall patient wellness. Drugs and surgery were used in the clinic, but truly represented a last resort. Thousands of patients suffering from a wide spectrum of neuromusculoskeletal conditions regained their health and transformed their lives through natural Chiropractic care. I continue to love witnessing such transformations and I am excited to be part of the CSC health care team in the UAE.'

'My patients are always surprised when I tell them that chiropractic school curriculums are very similar to that of medical schools. The difference lies primarily in the emphasis. Chiropractic school emphasizes anatomy, physiology, neurology, biomechanics, x-ray, and nutrition. Medical school students receive more class hours in pharmacology and pathology. The intense training at National University of Health Sciences helped me develop my confidence in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of human ailments from pediatrics to geriatrics from acute and chronic conditions to preventative/wellness care.'

'My mission as a Doctor of Chiropractic is to empower patients with vital health information and to inspire them to take responsibility of their health and wellness. It is much easier to maintain health than it is try to regain it after it's gone. Therefore, educating about how to prevent disease is my objective with each and every patient.'

'In addition to standard chiropractic training, I attended numerous seminars that focused on the care of pregnant mothers and children. More and more parents are seeking chiropractic care for their children, since many adult spinal issues begin from early traumas-as early as birth. Even so called 'natural' birthing methods can stress an infant's spine and developing nervous system. This can result in newborn health complaints such as colic, sleeping disturbances, breathing problems and nursing difficulties. Beyond the spine, my passion for Nutrition inspired me to earn a CCN (Certified Clinical Nutritionist) under the sponsorship of the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board (CNCB). This meant extensive training in nutritional supplementation, detoxification, and weight management. Nutritional health and Chiropractic care go hand in hand as key players in the overall recipe for Wellness. My interest in wellness and alternative health care strategies has also led me to earn a Fellowship in the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.'

“My passion towards soccer led me to towards Chiropractic.  A hamstring injury just prior to a semi final game at Brock University almost ended my varsity career. My coach and support staff wanted me to make it to the game so they rushed me through the traditional steps to have me ready for the all important game. I went to see a sports doctor and a physiotherapist for my injury and both of them told me that it would take at least a month or two before I can play again. Not accepting that fate I went to see Dr. Scappaticci, a sports Chiropractor. During my initial visit, he assessed my spine and found out that mechanical imbalance in my low back and hip structure had a lot to do why my hamstring was susceptible to injury. He looked for the cause rather than treating the symptom. His treatment of manual manipulations coupled with soft tissue techniques helped me to dress up and go out to play in two weeks. Now, many years later chiropractic has become a huge part of my life, and I am extremely thankful that my injury led me to my passion to help people lead a healthy balanced life by addressing the cause rather than the symptoms.”

Another milestone in my Chiropractic career, I have taken responsibility as Clinic Director to the newly built International Chiropractic Specialty Center at Al Bandar in Khalifa City. Since moving from Minneapolis, Minnesota with my wife and kids seven years ago, I have been humbled by the experience I have had with thousands of patients we have served at our center. I have had the privilege of being involved in the care of many musculo-skeletal conditions ranging from relief care, corrective care and wellness care. It has been so rewarding to be involved in so many patient’s recovery from acute to chronic conditions and witness their lives change for the better. Our unique treatment of manual manipulations coupled with soft tissue mobilization and assisted stretching helps us address the cause of the issue, not just symptom management.

Captivated by biology, earth sciences, and wildlife while living in Alaska, my future understanding in these disciplines would not have been possible without the guidance and wisdom from my parents, professors, and mentors.

My interest in environment and biology after years of study afforded me the opportunity to live and work in the mountains of southern Colorado.

During this time, I sustained soccer and skiing injuries and became aware of the benefits of chiropractic.

I learned chiropractic was a healing science using techniques, without drugs or surgery, to guide the human body to health and optimal function.

In the intervening years, I had also trained as an advanced life support paramedic and was amazed to find all the injuries my teammates treated with chiropractic, had equal or better outcomes than those using medications and invasive medical interventions.  With this realization, I made a well-regarded decision to study chiropractic.

I have always been fascinated by human anatomy and physiology. The human body is more complex than any mechanical structure that has ever been made by man- it has the incredible ability to restore itself naturally given the right conditions.

In 2011 I was introduced to the study of chiropractic by a Professor at the International Medical University in Malaysia. He explained to me that Chiropractic places particular emphasis on the relationship between the spine and the nervous system. By optimizing this connection and removing interference, chiropractors help their patients restore the body’s natural ability to heal. I was instantly drawn to chiropractic. And thus, my chiropractic journey began.
For the last 8 years, I practiced in different locations around the world, including Malaysia, Borneo and Dubai. In each of these places, I have had the privilege of treating patients with all sorts of conditions including disc injuries, scoliosis, sports injuries, osteoarthritis and mechanical dysfunctions.

Dr Randeep began his chiropractic journey at the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia, where he engaged in rigorous coursework in anatomy, diagnostic imaging, neurology, biomechanics, and spinal adjustments over a period of 4 and a half years. Dr
Randeep started his career working as a junior associate chiropractor at a large chiropractic and physiotherapy center. There, he learnt to co-manage patients with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and orthopedic surgeons. His training and experience over the last 8
years cultivated his ability to effectively treat and manage a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions without surgery or medication.

Throughout the years, Dr Randeep has been heavily involved in community/CSR programs in Malaysia and the Philippines, where he played a vital role in educating the public about wellness and chiropractic.  At its core, chiropractic care is all about helping patients achieve
their optimum health by educating them rather than simply treating their symptoms. He also
lectured final year chiropractic students who were practicing in clinic, at the International Medical University from 2020-2022.
